Sweesh
Swipe sideways. The feed learns from you.
What it is
A social network of full-screen videos and photos, made to be used with your thumb. You swipe right when you like something and left when you don't. There is no like button.
The goal
Get the button out of the way. The gesture is already the answer: no thinking, no searching, and every swipe teaches the feed. The idea is to show more of what you like and less of what you don't, mixing TikTok's format with Tinder's mechanics.
See it running
Try the gesture
Drag the card to either side, or use the buttons. The whole app works like this.
The example posts are over.
Two gestures, one answer
- To the left: show me less of this.
- To the right: I want more of this.
Illustrative example, with fictional posts.
How it works
-
Open the feed
Full-screen videos and photos, one at a time. You choose between Discover, Following and Near me.
-
Swipe
Right is liked, left is disliked. Made a mistake? The Back button undoes only the last decision.
-
The feed learns
Each swipe, the time you stayed on the post, a comment or a share becomes a signal for each post's score.
-
Talk and join in
Comments, replies, chats and discussion hubs help you find people who share your interests.
A feed that learns from you
Each post gets a score for each person. The bigger the bar, the more that signal raises the score.
And what you already passed on practically disappears from the feed.
What's inside
-
Three feeds
Discover, Following and Near me, with a switcher at the top of the screen.
-
Hubs
Communities with discussions, rankings, levels and profile tags.
-
Conversations
Chats and comments with replies, including audio.
-
Profiles
Post grid, Posts, Reposts and Liked tabs, and a bio with hub tags.
-
Games
A games area inside the app itself.
-
Security
Blocking, reporting, account deletion and database rules that only accept media from its own storage.
